A vacant house in east Fort Worth was destroyed by a fire late Wednesday night. The fire ignited in the 5100 block of Sunshine Drive shortly after 11 p.m. Firefighters quickly doused the flames, and no one was injured.
The man led authorities west on I-30 from Hunt county into Arlington, where he released two children whose mother had earlier jumped from the recreational vehicle as it sped along the highway. The man had shot the mother at the beginning of the ordeal. The children appeared to be unharmed.
