How deep is your love for ZZ Top?

If you’re Austin chef Tom Micklethwait, who oversees the critically acclaimed Micklethwait Craft Meats, you’ll never again need to prove your devotion to that Little Ol’ Band from Texas.

Yesterday, the Austin-American Statesman’s Matthew Odam unearthed a brief video of Micklethwait recreating the mouthwatering cover art of ZZ Top’s 1973 LP Tres Hombres and then ... eating it all. (See the clip below.)

What did the band think of the stunt?

As Billy Gibbons told Texas Monthly’s Andy Langer yesterday, “It’s crazy. Absolutely nuts. I stand in awe of what he’s accomplished. I have to hand it to him, he recreated every last element that you see in the centerfold with exacting detail. It’s rather remarkable.”
