Les Miles lands at Topeka airport
The Kansas Jayhawks are the only major school to have a men’s basketball coach and a football coach who have a national title on their respective resumes.
Basketball coach Bill Self has one, and his new running buddy Les Miles does, too.
Sports Illustrated’s Ros Dellenger is reporting Miles has agreed to become Jayhawks’ new coach.
The Hat coaching in Lawrence will make a Kansas game semi-interesting for the Big 12 teams that have for years enjoyed it as a bye week.
KU did not bring in Les Miles to rebuild its football program. KU hired Les Miles to build a football program.
The Jayhawks are easily the worst team in Power 5 football. With all due respect to Indiana, there is no other program that can compete with Kansas for this title.
The last time Kansas has won more than three games in a season was 2009 when the Jayhawks were 5-7 in Mark Mangino’s last season.
In the last three years, KU has three wins in the Big 12: By one point versus TCU in ‘18; by three points in ‘16 against Texas; by 20 points against Iowa State in ‘14.
And in accepting this job, Miles should answer these 10 questions:
2. Are you on medication?
3. Have you signed that contract?
4. What are you thinking?
5. Por que?
6. Is this a joke?
7. Like, no, seriously ...why?
8. Do you hate your family just that much?
