Forward Alex Morgan scored just 12 seconds into the Costa Rica match, the fastest in the history of this tournament. The U.S. seeks to qualify for its sixth consecutive Olympic Games.

About Mexico: Las Tri opened Group A play Wednesday with a 6-0 rout of Puerto Rico. Forward Maribel Dominguez, 37, scored a hat trick. Alina Garciamendez, Nayeli Rangel and Katlyn Johnson also scored.
