What improvements will be made with the $182 million Toyota Stadium renovation?

In a unanimous vote, the Frisco City Council announced on Tuesday that the Toyota Stadium will get a $182 million renovation.

What improvements will the renovation bring to the home of FC Dallas?

It will increase the seating capacity by 20% while also increasing club and suite seating increasing their respective capacities by 175% and 58%.

There will also be two new suite levels, a dedicated entrance for those with club seat holders as well as refined club spaces on both the east and west sides of the stadium.

The stadium will also now have a new roof structure that will provide shade for the majority of seats.

Concession capacity will be increased by 59% with quicker service and an expanded menu according to the plan.

The team also plans to upgrade its media facilities including the press box, media and broadcast suites as well as improve accessibility for those with disabilities.

Restroom capacity will increase by 26% and the team will build the largest video board of any MLS team in a soccer-specific stadium which will measure at 6,000 square feet.

The project is slated to begin in January 2025 and is scheduled for completion in 2028.
