TCU women’s basketball star wins medal at 2024 Paris Olympics

TCU Horned Frogs women’s basketball star Hailey Van Lith won a bronze medal in women’s 3x3 basketball.

The U.S. beat Canada 16-13 after falling behind early in the game. Van Lith helped the team come back from their early game deficit with several strong drives to the basket on her way to leading the team in scoring with six points on five-of-seven shooting.

It was a long journey to the bronze medal match for the U.S. women who lost their first three games before winning four straight games in a row to get to the semi-final round where they lost to Spain by a score of 18-16.

The win earns the U.S. women’s 3x3 team their second medal in a row, after winning gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
