Wild at Stars

8:30 p.m. Friday, American Airlines Center, Dallas

TV: FSSW, NBCSN

Radio: KTCK/1310 AM and 96.7 FM

Series: Stars lead best-of-seven series 3-1

About the Wild: Since the 2003-04 season, Minnesota is 4-17-6 in Dallas, its worst record in any road arena. Jason Pominville leads Minnesota with three goals and an assist. No other Wild player has more than a single goal. The Wild is 2 for its last 28 power play opportunities dating to the regular season. Injured forwards Zach Parise (back) and Thomas Vanek (upper body), who haven’t played in the series, did not make the trip to Dallas.

About the Stars: A win would give the Stars their first playoff series victory since beating the San Jose Sharks in May 2008 to advance to the Western Conference finals. Center Tyler Seguin will not be available for Game 5 because of an issue related to his lacerated Achilles tendon, said coach Lindy Ruff. A key to Wednesday’s Game 4 win for Dallas was two power-play goals in the second period, each erasing a one-goal deficit. The Stars have only taken a total of 67 shots in the past three games and 99 for the series. Goalie Antti Niemi could start again after stopping 28 of 30 shots Wednesday, including 14 in the third period, in his first playoff action this season.
