Stars at Coyotes

8 p.m. Thursday, Gila River Arena, Glendale, Ariz.

TV: FSSW Radio: KTCK/1310 AM and 96.7 FM

Records: Stars 37-15-6, 80 points; Coyotes 26-24-6, 58 pts.

About the Stars: They are 6-1-1 since the All-Star break, including five road wins, and in a battle with Chicago for first place in the Western Conference standings. Though the teams haven’t played Arizona this season, Dallas has won the past three meetings. Forward Mattias Janmark has a goal in three consecutive games and at least one point in four of five. Jamie Benn is second in the NHL in points (64) and fourth in goals (29) while Tyler Seguin is third in points (63) and goals (30). John Klingberg leads the team with 38 assists.

About the Coyotes: Goalie Anders Lindback, who started last season with the Stars, is likely done for the year with an Achilles injury that will require surgery, general manager Don Maloney said. Lindback was injured stretching before Monday’s game and necessitated the team calling an emergency goalie, bank employee Nathan Schoenfeld, to serve as backup. Defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson leads the team in points (44) and assists (27). Louis Domingue will start in goal. He is 11-8-4 with a 2.52 goals-against average in 23 appearances.
