TV: FSSW Plus Radio: KTCK/1310 AM and 96.7 FM

Records: Stars 28-9-4, 60 points; Rangers 21-14-4, 46 pts.

About the Stars: They have consecutive losses for the first time this season. Though they are 12-5-4 on the road overall, the Stars are 1-3-3 in their past seven away games. They hit the season’s midpoint with the second-best record in franchise history after 41 games. Only the Stanley Cup-winning 1998-99 team had more points, 61 (27-7-7). Forward Patrick Sharp has goals in consecutive games and has a point in nine straight games (six goals, six assists). Forward Valeri Nichushkin scored two third-period goals in Sunday’s loss to the Islanders. It was his first multigoal game since Jan. 23, 2014.

About the Rangers: Duel with Dallas starts a three-game homestand, where the Rangers are 14-5-1, second-best in the Eastern Conference. Forward Chris Kreider, who has six goals and 18 points, is unlikely to play after suffering a hand laceration in a fight following his cross-check of Florida’s Willie Mitchell in Saturday’s loss. Goalie Henrik Lundqvist is 17-11-3 with a 2.51 goals-against average but has been pulled from four of his past 14 starts.
