The Devils have been held to two goals or fewer in eight of those games. … Forward Dainius Zubrus is expected to miss his second straight game with a left leg laceration sustained in a game Monday against the Carolina Hurricanes. Defenseman Adam Larsson, recovering from a case of the mumps, has been cleared to begin skating. They’re 25th in the NHL averaging 2.27 goals per game and 29th in shots per game at 26.0.
About the Stars: Dallas has lost five of its past six games, including Tuesday’s 5-2 loss to Winnipeg. … Jason Spezza and Jamie Benn scored in the shootout and also teamed up on a power-play goal in the second period. … Forward Travis Moen skated prior to practice Friday but won’t play Saturday, according to the team’s website. Moen sustained an upper-body injury in Tuesday’s loss that dropped Dallas to 5-6-5 at home. … The Stars will complete a three-game homestand against the Devils and then start a three-game road trip against the Western Canada teams.
