You go root on the Dallas Stars in the Stanley Cup Playoffs if you’re Dirk Nowitzki.
The Dallas Mavericks legend who retired after 21 seasons last week, took in the Stars’ Game 3 against the Nashville Predators from a suite at American Airlines Center Monday night.
Nowitzki, decked out in Stars gear, waved to fans when the video board showed him late in the first period. The AAC crowd, which was already buzzing, went even more nuts.
Nowitzki announced his retirement after the Mavs’ last home game last week.
The Stars are in the playoffs for the first time in three years.
