About the Flames: Calgary has won three straight, its longest of the season, after walloping Anaheim 8-3 on Sunday night as franchise star Johnny Gaudreau returned from a broken finger. Calgary is 6-3-1 in its last 10. The Flames are coached by former Stars coach Glen Gulutzan (2011-13). Calgary lost at home to the Stars 4-2 on Nov. 10 as Dallas ended a five-game skid.
About the Stars: Dallas salvaged the finale of four-game road trip with a 3-0 victory Saturday at Colorado. Kari Lehtonen faced 23 shots in his first shutout of the season. Now comes time to get off the .500 mark: 10 of the Stars’ next 13 games are in Dallas. Forward Patrick Sharp, however, was placed on injured reserve (minimum down time of seven days) Saturday for the second time this season with concussion symptoms. “We don’t know if this is still lingering from last time,” coach Lindy Ruff said. “He just didn’t feel right.” ... Forward Tyler Seguin scored on a one-timer against Colorado, his ninth goal this season. He entered Monday fourth in NHL scoring with 27 points. ... Forward Jiri Hudler, sidelined for most of the season with a virus, skated with the team Monday, the Stars reported.
