Canucks at Stars

7:30 p.m. Friday, American Airlines Center, Dallas

TV: FSSW Plus

Radio: KTCK/1310 AM and 96.7 FM

Records: Canucks 8-10-2, 18 points; Stars 8-8-5, 21 pts.

About the Canucks: Vancouver won just its second road game of the season on Wednesday in a 4-1 victory at Arizona. The Canucks are finally distancing themselves from a nine-game losing streak earlier this year but they aren’t exactly consistent, alternating wins and losses over their past seven games. Center Bo Harvat leads the team in goals (7) and shares the points lead (13) with Daniel Sedin. Defenseman Ben Hutton agreed on a two-year contract extension worth $5.6 million on Thursday.

About the Stars: Dallas is 2-2-2 in its last six games, including a 5-2 loss at Nashville on Wednesday. Goaltending continues to be an issue for the Stars. Only once in 21 games have they allowed fewer than two goals, and the five scored by the Predators marked the ninth time they’ve allowed at least four. Not surprisingly, Dallas is 0-6-3 in those games. Tyler Seguin leads the team in assists (15) and points (22) with Patrick Eaves (9 goals, 7 assists) and Jamie Benn (6 goals, 10 assists) close behind.
