Jason Witten partnering with technology program in Argyle

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten is mixing technology and football this weekend.

Jason Witten’s football camp will be held Sunday at Liberty Christian School in Argyle. The camp, for participants in grades 1-8, will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

After the camp, some students will participate in an App building competition that is part of the Tata Consultancy Services’ goIT student technology awareness program.

The goIT is designed to address the growing skills gap in STEM fields for middle and high school students. Local students involved in the program participate in computer science career awareness workshops throughout the school year, as well as a hands-on technical summer camp aimed at developing their interest in technology.

Award presentations at TCS’ goIT STEM competition will be at 3:30 p.m.
