Charlotte Jones Anderson, the executive vice president and chief brand officer with the Dallas Cowboys, will be the recipient of the 2016 Texas Trailblazer Award, presented by The Family Place.

Anderson will be honored at the Texas Trailblazer luncheon on Oct. 4 at the Hilton Anatole.

"It is an incredible honor to be recognized with the Texas Trailblazer award by Paige Flink and The Family Place,” Anderson said. “They are truly doing amazing work, providing needed assistance to victims of domestic violence. Our game has given me an opportunity, and thus a responsibility, to make an impact in our community and help raise the awareness of great organizations like The Family Place."

The luncheon raises funds to support The Family Place, a non-profit organization that helps survivors of domestic violence by providing safe housing, counseling and skills that create independence while building community engagement and advocating for social change to stop family violence.

Anderson, one of the most powerful women in sports, is chairman of the NFL Foundation and spearheads the league’s efforts in youth football participation, health and safety and community outreach.

She serves on the NFL Conduct Committee, which enhances the personal conduct police for all players and employees, which includes social issues such as domestic violence and sexual assault.
