The Dallas Cowboys have finally found a replacement for departed secondary coach Jerome Henderson. Or rather make that two.

The Cowboys are adding Michigan defensive backs coach Greg Jackson to the staff, per multiple sources.

But the job of coaching the secondary will be two-fold. Jackson is expected to coach safeties while Joe Baker, who had been an assistant secondary coach under Henderson since 2012, will coach the cornerbacks.

Jackson came to Michigan in 2014 with head coach Jim Harbaugh. Prior to that, he was the assistant secondary coach for the San Francisco 49ers from 2011-2014.

This ends a lengthy search for a defensive backs coach since Henderson joined the Atlanta Falcons as the defensive passing game coordinator.

The Cowboys talked to six other coaches for the job, including Al Golden, Steve Brown, Baker, Tim Lewis, Mike Nolan and Gil Byrd.

Baker has focused on coaching the safeties with the Cowboys the previous four seasons.

Jackson, who starred in college at LSU, played safety in the NFL for 12 years.

In other coaching news, offensive assistant Kevin Carberry has left the Cowboys to join the Washington Redskins as their assistant offensive line coach.
