Greg Hardy was not at practice for the portion open to the media. The Cowboys said he was sick.

The controversial defensive end missed an OTA with an illness, an October practice with an illness and missed the team’s mandatory hospital visits earlier this month with an illness.

Hardy has asthma, and required a breathing treatment during the team’s game against the Panthers on Thanksgiving.

Starting guard La’el Collins missed the start of practice with an ankle injury. Receiver Devin Street still is in concussion protocol and not practicing.

The Cowboys did welcome back Morris Claiborne, who said Tuesday that he would start with individual drills and then see how he felt. He returned from a hamstring injury for individual drills Thursday but then did not practice Friday and missed a second consecutive game.

Claiborne has missed four games this season with hamstring injuries.
