Game balls from Cowboys’ 24-14 victory over Dolphins
Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo: He returned to the lineup for the first time since Week 2 and passed for 227 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. He kept plays alive with his decision-making and inspired the team.
Cowboys running backs Darren McFadden and Robert Turbin, and receiver Terrance Williams: McFadden had 29 carries for 129 yards, including 11 carries for 40 yards with runs of 15, 11 and 10 yards in the fourth quarter. Turbin joined the team Wednesday and had seven carries for 35 yards. Two went for first downs, and he had a long of 17. Williams caught four passes for 79 yards, including a 31-yard touchdown.
Cowboys linebackers Rolando McClain and Sean Lee: McClain returned an interception 12 yards for the game’s first score and added three tackles. Lee returned to the lineup after missing last week’s loss at Tampa Bay with a concussion and led the team with five tackles.
Dolphins linebacker Kelvin Sheppard and defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh: Sheppard had 14 tackles and one tackle for loss. Suh had seven tackles and one tackle for loss. He was disruptive inside and close on several other plays.
