Cowboys sign defensive tackle

The Cowboys signed defensive tackle Zach Minter. They waived/injured cornerback Korey Lindsey to make room for Minter. Lindsey, signed last week, injured his hand in Wednesday’s practice.

The Cowboys still have to make a move to get tight end Asa Watson on the roster. They agreed to terms with him on Wednesday.

Minter, who played at Montana State, signed with the Bears as a rookie free agent after the 2013 draft. He spent time on the Bears practice squad and active roster, playing in two games.

He signed with Cincinnati on Dec. 20, and finished the season with the Bengals. The Bengals released him Aug. 8.
