Game balls from Cowboys-Falcons
Falcons receiver Julio Jones: The superstar receiver was targeted 20 times and finished with 12 receptions for 164 yards and two touchdowns. His 45-yard touchdown in the third quarter shifted the momentum of the game and his 2-yard touchdown in the fourth clinched the comeback.
Falcons running back Devonta Freeman: In the lineup for injured starter Tevin Coleman, Freeman rushed for a career-best 141 yards on 30 carries and three touchdowns. His longest gain was 17 yards, but he had four runs of 10 or more yards. He also had six touches (five runs and one catch) that resulted in first downs. He added five receptions for 52 yards, including a shifty 35-yard catch-and-run late in the second quarter.
Falcons linebacker Justin Durant: Durant left Dallas for Atlanta in free agency. He returned to lead the Falcons with nine tackles.
Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan: Ryan passed for 285 yards and two touchdowns to finish with a passer rating of 109.1. He was only sacked once and the team went 4-for-4 in the red zone. He also had an 18-yard scramble.
Cowboys running back Joseph Randle: Although shut down in the second half, Randle’s three touchdowns can’t be overlooked. Nor can his 6.2 yard-per carry average.
