_ Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant is still expected to miss another five weeks or so with a fractured bone on his foot.
But roughly 10 days removed from surgery to a bone graft and a screw placed in his foot, Bryant is showing signs of improvement. He is walking without a limp and has been seen in the locker room at times this week without the protective boot.
Owner Jerry Jones has no interest in rushing Bryant back, but he is optimistic about his return this season after speaking with the star receiver on Thursday.

“We want him keeping in shape and keeping all the ligaments around it in shape,” Jones said. “I just had a great visit with him. The pain is going away by the day and that's important. His procedure gives me a lot of confidence that he will be able to have a positive recovery."
