Owner Jerry Jones and his surgically-repaired hip will be at AT&T Stadium for the Dallas Cowboys’ season opener against the New York Giants on Sunday.

"Of course, they don't kickoff without me," Jones said on his radio show on 105.3 The Fan Friday morning.

Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.

Jones had his right hip replaced last Friday, roughly six weeks after having his left hip replaced in July.

Clarence Hill and Charean Williams offer their thoughts with the Cowboys opener days away.

"I think it's going according to plan, but I will let you know when I take the kickoff," Jones deadpanned.

Jones, who turns 73 next month, said he feels good and things are going exactly to plan in terms of timing. Both surgeries were scheduled so he wouldn't miss training camp nor the start of the season.

"I feel good," Jones said. "I feel real good.”

Jones felt so good that he attended his grandson's middle school football game Wednesday night.
