Cowboys host dozens of local prospects for ‘Dallas Day’ including TCU talent

On Thursday, the Dallas Cowboys hosted their annual local visit day, also known as “Dallas Day”, in which they are allowed to host draft prospects that either graduated from high school in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex or finished their college playing days at a local university such as TCU, SMU or North Texas. They are taken through a workout in the Ford Center at The Star and meet with various coaches and team personnel.

All 32 NFL teams are permitted to bring in local prospects, and the Cowboys typically benefit more than most by the talent-rich pool that DFW provides. Other teams that see big benefits are the Atlanta Falcons, Los Angeles Rams and Chargers, Miami Dolphins and Chicago Bears.

Aside from the local day candidates, the Cowboys are allowed to bring in 30 draft prospects for facility visits that are not from the area.
