Post Malone puts on a show for fans during halftime of Dallas Cowboys game
The 135th annual Red Kettle Campaign in support of the Salvation Army was launched with a halftime performance by Grammy-nominated artist Post Malone at the Dallas Cowboys-Kansas City Chiefs game Thursday.
Post Malone came out to his song “Wrong Ones” in a blue bomber jacket adorned with buttons, before the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders joined him onstage. He also performed “Wow” and “I Had Some Help.”
He ended his performance by wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving and told fans to make some noise for Cowboys, whom he called the best team in the NFL. He also acknowledged Marshawn Kneeland, the Cowboys defensive lineman who died by suicide earlier this month.
Each Thanksgiving since 1997 the Dallas Cowboys and the Salvation Army have teamed up to amplify the Red Kettle Campaign, which helps with social services ranging from providing food for the hungry to disaster and emergency relief support and rehabilitation for those suffering from addiction.
Since the launch of this partnership, the Cowboys have raised over $3 billion for the Salvation Army.
Malone has a special connection with the franchise as he moved to Grapevine as child, and his father, Rich Post, worked in the Cowboys organization as the assistant director of food and beverage at AT&T Stadium
