Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is NFL’s MVP so far, former Eagles star says
Retired quarterback Donovan McNabb, a six-time Pro Bowler and member of the Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Fame, says Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is the NFL’s MVP so far despite the team’s 2-3-1 start.
McNabb made his case on “Up and Adams” with Kay Adams on Thursday.
“Dak, first of all, has no defense whatsoever,” McNabb said. “CeeDee Lamb has been hurt. They’ve been mix-matching different guys. It’s just pretty much him. They’re running the football, yes, but their play action game and intermediate passing game has been on fire. The reason they’re in the position they are is because of Dak.”
Prescott has the second-most passing yards (1,617) and touchdown passes (13) in the NFL this season while only throwing three interceptions.
While Prescott’s play has dazzled, the Cowboys’ record will hold him back in MVP talks. Prescott has the 12th-best odds to win the award at 50-1, according to FanDuel.
