Jerry Jones extends Taylor Swift an invite to Cowboys-Chiefs Thanksgiving game
On the heels of dropping her new album “The Life of a Showgirl” on Friday, world-renowned recording artist Taylor Swift picked up some more good news Friday morning — if she was checking into Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ weekly radio show.
Jones, speaking on 105.3 The Fan, was asked about Swift and if she has a seat at AT&T Stadium when the Kansas City Chiefs visit the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day.
“We would have an elaborate seat for her if she should attend the game,” Jones said. “Nobody is a bigger fan of Taylor Swift than I am.”
Swift recently got engaged to Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and has been in attendance for multiple Kansas City games over the past couple of seasons. As a result, a lot of interest from her rabid fan base has trickled into the NFL stratosphere, which is something that Jones has noticed.
“I appreciate, through her interest in Kansas City there, the interest she has and that she has brought to the NFL,” Jones said. “I can’t get enough Taylor Swift.”
A 14-time Grammy winner, Swift is the wealthiest female musician of all-time, according to Forbes, with an estimated net worth of $1.6 billion. It’s something she has common with Jones, whose Dallas Cowboys franchise owns the mark of most valuable sports team in the world by Forbes at $13 billion.
The Cowboys’ Thanksgiving game against the Chiefs will be the 13th all-time meeting between the two franchises. The Cowboys hold a 7-5 advantage in the teams’ series, and they played once before on Thanksgiving, in 1995, with the Cowboys winning 24-12.
