Ex-Dallas Cowboys cornerback Jourdan Lewis comments on George Pickens trade
Jourdan Lewis left the Dallas Cowboys in free agency this offseason, signing a three-year $30 million contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Lewis took to X, formerly Twitter, on May 7, 2025, to post about the Cowboys’ recent acquisition of George Pickens. What did the post say?
The post, seemingly referencing the Pickens trade, said it was confirmation that God wanted him in Jacksonville.
Lewis could be saying this in response to the altercation between him and Pickens last season at the end of the Cowboys’ 20-17 win over the Steelers.
Lewis had his facemask grabbed by Pickens right after the game after saying something to the wide receiver.
After the game, Lewis called Pickens weak on his way to the locker room, but later, the following week, he walked back those comments.
“Honestly, I shouldn’t have said that. It was an emotional game. There was some chatter on the field. One thing led to another. He had a moment, I had a moment. It was too emotional, I shouldn’t have said it,” said Lewis.
For their postgame actions, both players were fined by the NFL: $10,230 for Pickens and $11,255 for Lewis.
Lewis left the Cowboys after playing the first eight years of his career in Dallas after being drafted in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft out of Michigan.
