Former Dallas Cowboys All-Pro retires after 14 seasons in NFL

Former Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman Tyron Smith announced his retirement from the NFL on Tuesday, April 15.

Smith played 13 of his 14 NFL seasons with the Cowboys after the team drafted him with the No. 9 pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.

Before being drafted, Smith, a California native, attended USC from 2008-2011.

Smith was named to eight Pro Bowls, earned five All-Pro selections and was chosen as a member of the NFL’s 2010s All-Decade team.

Smith joined former teammate Zack Martin, who retired earlier this offseason. The team will have a press conference for Smith on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
