CeeDee Lamb posts about a NFL rule change on social media. What’s the new rule?

CeeDee Lamb’s signature nose-wipe first-down celebration will no longer be allowed by the NFL after the league sent its full rules report for the 2025 NFL season.

The celebration will now incur a 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty, due to being classified as a violent gesture.

The other outlawed violent gestures involve pretending to brandish or shoot guns, throat slashing, or anything sexually suggestive.

Lamb commented on X, formerly Twitter, saying he had more celebrations in mind.

Fans on social media decried the decision, calling it unfair to Lamb and questioning why the nose-wipe was on the list of violent gestures.
