Micah Parsons, CeeDee Lamb among five Dallas Cowboys named as Pro Bowlers
Five Dallas Cowboys have been named to the 44-man NFC Pro Bowl roster.
Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, defensive end Micah Parsons, kicker Brandon Aubrey, guard Tyler Smith and return specialist KaVontae Turpin all garnered the honor after an impressive 2024 campaign for each. All but Turpin will return to the Pro Bowl from last year’s event, while the Louisiana native will return for the first time since 2022.
Lamb, who was selected for the fourth time in five NFL seasons, battled a shoulder injury for half of the season but still put up 101 receptions for 1,194 yards and six touchdowns. He is not expected to participate in the Pro Bowl Games after being shut down for the season last week to start the rehab process for his injured shoulder. Lamb is now second in franchise history for receivers with his four selections, trailing only Michael Irvin’s five honors.
Parsons, who was selected for the fourth time in four NFL seasons, missed four games with a high ankle sprain in the middle of the year but still accounted for 66 quarterback pressures, the eighth-most in the NFL entering week 18. His 9.5 sacks lead the Cowboys, as he will look to finish with double digits for the fourth time in four years this Sunday against the Washington Commanders. Parsons becomes the 21st player in NFL history and just the second for the Cowboys (Mel Renfro) to make the Pro Bowl in each of his first four seasons.
Aubrey, who was selected for the second time in two NFL seasons, has tied his own franchise record from a year ago with 36 field goal makes in 2024. His 14 makes from more than 50 yards are an NFL record, and his 43 field goal attempts lead the NFL. In the Cowboys’ week three loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Aubrey kicked the second-longest field goal in NFL history and the longest across the league in 2024 from 65 yards out.
Smith, who was selected for the second time in three NFL seasons, allowed just 22 quarterback pressures and two sacks, according to Pro Football Focus. He was one of two offensive linemen for the Cowboys to not miss a game throughout the season, joining right tackle Terence Steele. He is the third guard in NFL history to make two Pro Bowls by the age of 23.
Turpin, who was selected for the second time in three NFL seasons, leads the NFL in yards per kick return and is the only player in the league with a punt return touchdown and a kick return touchdown in 2024. He became the first player in franchise history to have a kick return, punt return and receiving touchdown in the same season.
The Pro Bowl Games return to Orlando in late January, as players will join for a series of minigames and competitive events, capped by the flag football game that has replaced the traditional padded game in recent years. The game will be coached by Eli Manning (NFC) and Peyton Manning (AFC).
