Dallas Cowboys announce dates for open practices and season kickoff celebration at the Star

The Dallas Cowboys will return from training camp in Oxnard, Calif. to participate in open practices at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco from Aug. 27–28.

The training camp festivities will be kicked off by ‘Cowboys Night,’ on Aug. 27 at 4 p.m. at the Tostitos Championship Plaza with games, giveaways and an appearance by Cowboys mascot Randy.

The event is free to attend for the public with doors opening at 5 p.m. and practice set to last from 6 p.m.-7 p.m.

The following day the Cowboys will have their second open practice which will follow the same schedule with the addition of a kickoff ceremony, beginning at 5:40 p.m., for the season where the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders will perform as well as team owner Jerry Jones giving remarks.

For fans unable to get in but wanting to experience the event it will be broadcast live on TXA 21 hosted by Bill Jones and Isaiah Stanback with appearances from Dallas Cowboys writers.
