Quarterback Dak Prescott said he’s fine and will be back at Cowboys practice Tuesday

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott said he is fine and will be back at practice on Tuesday without limitations.

Prescott was held out practice Friday due to ankle soreness.

He didn’t play in Sunday’s 13-12 preseason opening loss against the Los Angeles Rams But that was expected.

Prescott has not taken a snap in a preseason game since 2019.

But he missed the final 11 games of the 2020 season due to a fractured ankle that required two surgeries.

Prescott has not missed a game because of the ankle over the last three seasons. But he’s had to manage it at times because of occasional swelling and soreness.

Prescott was seen wearing a walking boot in June due to swelling.

He was a full participant through the first three weeks of training camp before sitting out Friday with ankle soreness.

Prescott and coach Mike McCarthy said it was no big deal; he’ll be good to go on Tuesday.
