Do Dallas Cowboys fans have faith in a Super Bowl run? Not so much, says national survey
When you think about it, life as a sports fan is generally miserable. After all, only one fan base can truly celebrate their team after the final game is played.
While the Rangers did win the World Series in 2023, the Cowboys, Stars, and Mavericks all fell short of a championship.
Overall, It’s likely that your favorite Dallas-area pro team won’t win a championship just based on the odds.
As NFL training camp gets underway, is there optimism that the Cowboys will make another Super Bowl run—for real this time?
Using a nationwide survey of 2,000 fans, Casino.org assessed factors such as Super Bowl optimism, contentment with management, mood changes when players get injured, and irritation levels when their team loses to determine the happiness levels among fan bases.
And since the Cowboys haven’t gotten past the divisional round of the playoffs since 1995, how miserable are the die-hard fans who cheer on America’s Team?
Well, according to the Casino.org miserable index, Cowboys fans rank as the 10th most miserable in the NFL and 14th in all of pro sports, with an unhappiness score of 89.30 out of 100.
All those playoff defeats over the years have taken a toll on Cowboys fans, who rank just behind the Chicago Bears, New York Giants; New England Patriots; New York Jets; Arizona Cardinals; Las Vegas Raiders; Denver Broncos; Washington Commanders and Carolina Panthers.
How satisfied are Cowboys fans?
Here’s what Cowboys fans revealed in the Casino.org survey:
- About 54.4% of fans said the Cowboys don’t have a chance of reaching the Super Bowl.
- Some 27% of Cowboys fans said they aren’t happy with current players on the roster.
- 60.3% of Cowboys fans indicated they don’t trust team management.
There you have it: Cowboys fans don’t believe that Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Micah Parsons can lead Dallas to the Super Bowl in New Orleans this season.
