Why are Dallas Cowboys fans the unhappiest in the NFL?
Gambling website Sports Geek used a social listening tool to figure out which NFL fans were the most upset with their team at the start of NFL free agency.
Their research found that Dallas Cowboys fans were most unhappy with their team following the start of free agency.
Sports Geek tracked comments on X, formerly Twitter, and found 10,065 negative comments from Cowboys fans about the team. No other NFL team had more than 10,000 negative comments with the Carolina Panthers in second place with 9,674.
Cowboys fans’ unhappiness shouldn’t come as a surprise, Dallas was the last team in the NFL to sign a free agent and hasn’t made the major moves fans expected after hearing Jerry Jones say he was going all in for the upcoming season.
The Cowboys’ only major free-agent addition of the off-season has been linebacker Eric Kendricks. At the same time, they have lost starters Tyron Smith, Tyler Biadasz and Tony Pollard and have yet to replace them.
The Cowboys still have time to make major additions to the roster and starting quarterback Dak Prescott has already begun to adjust his salary to help the team open up more cap space and the team can improve through the NFL Draft.
