Dallas Cowboys DC Dan Quinn remains hot commodity despite suspect season-ending effort

Dan Quinn’s defense was totally embarrassed in the Dallas Cowboys’ 48-32 season-ending loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

But that has not swayed the interest in Quinn on the coaching circuit as he remains a hot commodity among five teams looking for new leaders.

Quinn is set to interview with four other teams this week. Quinn will interview with the Carolina Panthers and Tennessee Titans on Wednesday followed by the Washington Commanders on Thursday and the Los Angeles Chargers on Friday. All four of the interviews will be conducted over Zoom.

The Seattle Seahawks have also requested permission to speak with Quinn.

The interest in Quinn comes amid a period of uncertainty for the Cowboys, who also could be looking to change head coach Mike McCarthy.

Quinn was once considered an option to replace McCarthy if owner Jerry Jones decided to move on.

But his unit was exposed in the wild-card loss to the Packers.

Quarterback Jordan Love had a near-perfect quarterback rating of 157.2 against the Cowboys. He completed of 16 of 21 passes for 272 yards and three touchdowns.

Running back Aaron Jones rushed 21 times for 118 yards and three touchdowns as the Packers scored more points in the playoffs than anyone ever against the Cowboys.
