Dallas Cowboys

Does Jimmy Johnson think Dallas Cowboys will rebound from ‘embarrassment’ in Buffalo?

Former Dallas Cowboys coach Jimmy Johnson says he expects a high-scoring game between the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Now an analyst, Johnson made the comments on the FOX NFL pregame show on Sunday.

“Even though the Dolphins have been playing better defense here lately, I think this is going to be a high-scoring game,” Johnson said. “I know Dak Prescott and Dallas, they are going to bounce back from that embarrassment from a week ago against Buffalo (a 31-10 loss). They are going to score points.”

“And (Miami quarterback) Tua (Tagovailoa) is going to score points. Dallas likes to play man coverage. Tua gets rid of the football so quickly. He gets the ball to (Jaylen) Waddle, he gets the ball to Tyreek Hill. They are going to score points. It’s going to be a high-scoring game. Going to be an exciting game.”

The Cowboys play in Miami at 3:25 p.m. CT Sunday on FOX.

Dallas (10-4) is batting Philadelphia (10-4) for the NFC East title with three games left in the regular season.

When Dallas returns to AT&T Stadium on Saturday to host the Detroit Lions, the Cowboys will honor Johnson when they induct him into the franchise’s Ring of Honor.
