‘Voice of the Dallas Cowboys’ absent from radio broadcast for Cowboys Thursday night game

Longtime Dallas Cowboys radio announcer Brad Sham is absent from the call for the Dallas Cowboys Thursday Night Football game against the Seattle Seahawks due to an illness.

Kyle Youmans replaced Sham on the call for Thursday night’s game for the Dallas Cowboys Radio Network.

Sham said he was touched by fans’ concerns over his health.

“Fell ill on my way to the game. Feel okay but getting a couple things checked out. Really appreciate everyone’s concern,” said Sham

Sham has been with the Dallas Cowboys since 1976, he was hired along with Verne Lundquist. Sham was an 11-time winner of The National Sports Media Association’s Texas Sportscaster of the Year and is a member of the Texas Radio Hall of Fame.
