Richard Sherman apologizes for comments about CeeDee Lamb. Sort of. What did he say?

Former NFL great Richard Sherman apologized — sort of — to Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb prior to the Dallas-Seattle game on Thursday night at AT&T Stadium.

Sherman said earlier this season that Lamb wasn’t a Wide Receiver 1, an elite receiver.

“Richard Sherman, everyone is entitled to their own opinions,” Lamb said on a segment during Amazon Prime’s pregame show taped earlier. “He’s another one that I got to make a believer, right?”

After the segment aired, Sherman complimented the Cowboys receiver who has 78 catches for 1,066 yards and six touchdowns this season.

“I’m a fan of the kid (Lamb), I love his mentality,” Sherman said. “This year he has proven himself. He has had big games.”

“He’s making me a believer, baby,” the former NFL standout defensive back said.

When pressed by his analyst colleagues, Sherman still would not acknowledge that Lamb was an elite receiver.
