How the Dallas Cowboys beat the Carolina Panthers 33-10. See the scoring plays, highlights

The Dallas Cowboys (7-3) beat the Carolina Panthers (1-9) 33-10 on Sunday at Bank of America Stadium in the NFC matchup. The Cowboys defense never allowed the Panthers to get into any offensive rhythm.

The Cowboys inch closer to the NFC East leading Philadelphia Eagles who play the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football.

The Cowboys have won four of their last five games since their loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Before the game Cowboys owner Jerry Jones announced Jimmy Johnson would be enshrined in the Cowboys Ring of Honor.

FIRST QUARTER

After falling short on their first drive the Cowboys marched down the field with some impressive run blocking and Dak Prescott continued his great play finishing the drive with an 18-yard pass to Luke Schoonmaker. Brandon Aubrey made the PAT and the Cowboys lead 7-0 with 3:20 remaining.

SECOND QUARTER

The Cowboys used two big penalties against Brandin Cooks and Ceedee Lamb to get deep into Panthers territory but the drive stalled out in the red zone and the Cowboys were forced to settle for a 29-yard field goal from Aubrey. Cowboys lead 10-0 with 11:01 left.

The Panthers had their best drive of the game primarily on the strength of their run game but the Cowboys defense got their third sack of the game to keep Carolina out of the end zone. Eddy Pineiro made his 42-yard field goal and the Panthers trail 10-3 with 1:56 remaining in the half.

The Cowboys used a penalty on the kickoff and two unnecessary roughness penalties to get the ball inside the Carolina 10-yard line. The Cowboys capitalized with Prescott’s second touchdown pass of the game this one a five-yarder to Lamb with 24 seconds left in the half. Cowboys lead 17-3.

THIRD QUARTER

The Panthers offense converted three fourth-down conversions and had their longest drive of the season and scored a touchdown off a four-yard pass from Bryce Young to Tommy Tremble. The Drive took 17 plays but the Panthers trail 17-10 with 1:59 left.

FOURTH QUARTER

The Cowboys responded in the next drive with Prescott connecting with Lamb and Jake Ferguson on multiple plays before Tony Pollard’s 21-yard rushing touchdown. After Aubrey’s PAT, the Cowboys lead 24-10 with 13:58 left in the final quarter.

DaRon Bland gets his fourth pick-six of the year, tying an NFL record for the most in a single season. The Cowboys take complete control with the defensive touchdown and Dallas leads 30-10 with 13:48 remaining in the game. Aubrey misses the PAT.

The Cowboys continued to pour it on after a Young fumble set the offense up deep in Panthers territory. The Cowboys capitalized with a 27-yard Aubrey field goal. Dallas leads 33-10 with 7:18 left in the game.
