NFL Hall of Famer the latest to be critical of Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott

A Hall of Fame wide receiver is questioning whether Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is regressing.

After Prescott threw three interceptions in an embarrassing 42-10 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, many pundits have been critical of the Dallas quarterback.

Add Cris Carter to the list.

In an interview with The Sports Geek, Carter was asked if the harsh comments were merited.

“Well, you can’t continue to throw an interception, and that was the mark coming against that coming into the season.,” Carter said. “Now they get into one of their big games of the season and he throws three interceptions. So no. You’re trying to move your office, but also you’re in a competition against the other quarterback to be as effective as possible.”

Carter said second-year 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy outplayed the veteran quarterback

“Second year in the league and 9-0 as a starter,” Carter said. “Dak Prescott all these years and years of experience. This was the game that they were looking for. Like, no, you have to play better when you’re making that kind of money. You have that type of experience and you have that type of talent. This is not something that we’re all asking Dak to do something outside. Dak has digressed in his quarterback in judgment the last two seasons.”

Prescott and the Cowboys return to the field on Monday night when they travel to Los Angeles to play the Chargers at SoFi Stadium on Monday Night Football.
