Why did Dallas Cowboys’ Micah Parsons call Eagles’ controversial ‘Tush Push’ a ‘cheat code’?
The Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback sneak, also known as the “Tush Push,” has become one of the most controversial plays in the NFL, and Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons gave his thoughts on the play on his show, “The Edge with Micah Parsons,” on Monday.
“I honestly just think they [Philadelphia Eagles] just have the team to do the tush push. We stopped [New] England when they tried to do the same thing to us,” said Parsons.
Parsons went on to explain what made the Eagles so effective at running the play.
“The Eagles have the best O-line in the game, so yes, it’s a cheat code. They’re unstoppable at it,” said Parsons, “They have a quarterback who is squatting 600 [pounds], and he knows how to move his legs and push forward. So yes, it’s OD.”
However, Parsons went on to say he doesn’t think the play should be outlawed and that those who do don’t have the right disposition.
“We just have to deal with it. We have to adjust, we have to prepare to stop it,” said Parsons, “That’s kinda suckerish. I don’t wanna be part of a league that’s like, ‘Hey, I can’t stop something. I’m not strong enough, I’m not good enough to beat it, so we gotta take it out the game.’ No, guys, this is football,” said Parsons.
