One Dallas Cowboys lineman ruled out for Patriots game, two others are questionable

The Dallas Cowboys are hopeful of getting two of three starting lineman who missed last week’s 28-16 loss to the Arizona Cardinals back on the field for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots.

Right guard Zack Martin (ankle) and center Tyler Biadasz (hamstring) returned to practice this week, albeit on a limited basis. They are listed as questionable.

But left tackle Tyron Smith will miss his second consecutive game with a knee injury. He was officially ruled out on Friday. He has not practiced all week.

Chuma Edoga is expected to start in place of Smith for the second straight game.

Smith’s availability has been a talking point dating back to the spring when he took a pay cut to remain with the team.

Smith has not played a full season since 2015, missing at least three games a season.

He has played in just 19 games since the start of the 2020 season. Sunday will be his 35th missed game.

In last week’s loss to the Cardinals, Brock Hoffman started at center, T.J. Bass at right guard.

The Cowboys added tight end Peyton Hendershot (ankle) to the injury report Friday. He had a limited practice and is also questionable.
