Former Cowboys star Ezekiel Elliott was honored before the Dallas and New England game with a tribute video.

The video lasted about 60 seconds and included highlights of his tenure as a Cowboy and included a message saying “Welcome Back Zeke.” In seven seasons with Dallas Elliott rushed for 8,261 yards and 68 touchdowns.

The Cowboys released Elliott on March 15 in the off-season and Elliott signed with the Patriots on August 16. Elliott got his first touch of the game with New England trailing 10-3 late in the first quarter.

Elliott ripped through the right side of the Patriots offensive line for a nine-yard gain and then picked up the first down with a four-yard rush.

Like the rest of the New England offense, Elliott’s impact was limited due to the swarming Dallas defense. At the start of the fourth quarter Elliott had just five carries for 14 yards and six yards on two receptions as the Patriots trailed 31-3.
