Dallas Cowboys beat New England Patriots 38-3: How they scored

The Dallas Cowboys bounced back from the Week 3 loss at Arizona with a 38-3 rout of visiting New England at AT&T Stadium on Sunday. Here’s how they scored:

FIRST QUARTER

DALLAS: Brandon Aubrey boots 23-yard field goal with 10:52 left in the first quarter, capping the Cowboys’ first possession of the game. Cowboys had third-and-goal at the NE 1, but could not get into the end zone. COWBOYS 3, PATRIOTS 0

NEW ENGLAND: Patriots also get a field goal on their first possession, scoring on a Chad Ryland 29-yard field goal with 6:41 left in the quarter. COWBOYS 3, PATRIOTS 3

DALLAS: Two possessions, two scores for the Cowboys. Dak Prescott connects with CeeDee Lamb on a 20-yard touchdown pass. Brandon Aubrey adds the extra point. COWBOYS 10, PATRIOTS 3

SECOND QUARTER

DALLAS: Leighton Vander Esch scores on 10-yard tumble recovery after the Cowboys sack and strip NE quarterback Mac Jones. The Cowboys then connect on a two-point conversion on a pass from Brandon Aubrely to Chauncey Golston. COWBOYS LEAD 18-3. 11:09 left in second quarter.

DALLAS: Brandon Aubrey’s 23-yard field goal with 4:03 left in the second quarter pushes the COWBOYS to a 21-3 lead.

DALLAS: DaRon Bland’s 54-yard interception return with 54 seconds remaining in the half (and Brandon Aubrey’s extra point) gives the COWBOYS 28-3 lead.

THIRD QUARTER

DALLAS: Brandon Aubrey adds another field goal, this one from 33 yards with 7:42 remaining in the third quarter. COWBOYS 31, PATRIOTS 3

FOURTH QUARTER

DALLAS: Fullback Hunter Luepke scored his first NFL touchdown on a 3-yard touchdown run with 6:38 left. Add another Brandon Aubrey kick and the COWBOYS lead 38-3.
