Dallas Cowboys

ESPN analyst picks Cowboys to go to the Super Bowl following dominant week 1 win

ESPN analyst Ryan Clark made a bold prediction following the Dallas Cowboys 40-0 shutout victory over the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football.

“The Dallas Cowboys are going to the Super Bowl,” said Clark.

Clark was impressed with the effort shown by Trevon Diggs and what it says about the Cowboys’ defense.

“The most impressive thing to me was this... you’re up 40-0. Trevon Diggs gives up a slant, he doesn’t just allow Isaiah Hodgins to continue running, he doesn’t let someone else tackle him, he follows him, he chases him, he punches the ball out,” said Clark, “There’s a level of excellence that is expected from this team now and I believe it starts with Dan Quinn, It’s passed down to Micah Parsons, and everyone has raised their play.”

Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn also received praise for how he used Micah Parsons throughout the game.

“What Dan Quinn did last night in moving Micah Parsons around and changing the different personnel groupings and continuing to pressure Daniel Jones was impressive,” said Clark.

Stephen A. Smith and Shannon Sharpe both disagreed with Clark with Smith saying he still didn’t trust Cowboys QB Dak Prescott.

“The defense is real, Gilmore makes them even more formidable, so does Trevon Diggs, but Dak Prescott’s gotta come to the rescue and you know deep down he ain’t gonna do it,” said Smith.
