Which Dallas Cowboy was named the best interior lineman by NFL personnel?
ESPN conducted a survey of NFL coaches, scouts and executives and asked them who was the best interior offensive lineman in the league.
The survey results were released on Sunday, and Dallas Cowboys guard Zack Martin was selected as the league’s No. 1 interior offensive lineman.
ESPN noted that Martin gave up only three sacks last year with a 96% pass-block win rate.
Here’s what one NFL executive said about the Cowboys guard in the survey.
“He’s maybe declined physically a little bit due to age, but he’s so smart and so instinctive that he makes up for any physical shortcoming.”
Martin has been an anchor for the Cowboys since they selected him with the 16th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
In Martin’s nine years with the Cowboys, he’s been selected to eight Pro Bowls, eight All-Pro teams and the NFL’s 2010’s all-decade team.
Last season Martin was selected to his eighth Pro Bowl and garnered his sixth First-team All-Pro selection.
