Michael Irvin sues Marriott, accuser for $100 million
Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin has filed a $100 million dollar lawsuit against a woman who accused him of misconduct, and the Marriot hotel where the interaction occurred.
The accusation caused Irvin to be removed from the NFL Network’s Super Bowl coverage.
Irvin claims he’s being railroaded by false accusations that could threaten his broadcasting career.
The lawsuit was filed on Thursday afternoon and obtained by TMZ Sports.
Irvin alleges in the claim that the hotel set out to make him the latest victim of cancel culture over something that never happened.
Irvin’s attorney said this to TMZ Sports.
“It is clear Michael is the latest victim of our cancel culture where all it takes is an accusation to ruin a person’s life. Michael looks forward to clearing his name in court and hopes the Court of public opinion will see the truth come out as well.”
Marriott, who owns the Renaissance hotel, has yet to respond to the lawsuit from Irvin publicly.
