The Dallas Cowboys had Super Bowl aspirations heading into this season.

The first step in that journey was making the playoffs and winning against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Cowboys did that in dominating fashion beating the Bucs 31-14.

With their first hurdle cleared, what would the Cowboys’ possible journey to Super Bowl LVII look like?

STEP 1: Vs. 49ers

The next step comes this weekend when they travel to Santa Clara, Calif., to play the San Francisco 49ers.

The Cowboys next game might be their toughest of the season, facing a red-hot 49ers team that hasn’t lost a game since October and is fresh off a blowout 43-21 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

The Cowboys are underdogs heading into this game according to Vegas and will need to play the best game of their season to make their first NFC Championship game appearance since 1996.

When: Sunday, Jan. 22, 5:30 p.m. CT Where: Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, Calif. TV: Fox Betting Line: DAL +4

STEP 2: NFC TITLE GAME

If the Cowboys beat the 49ers there are two options for the venue of the NFC Championship game. If the Cowboys win and the top-seeded Philadelphia Eagles win the game would be played at Lincoln Financial Field.

Should the Giants pull off another surprise victory the NFC title game would become a home game for the Cowboys played at AT&T Stadium.

Either way, a Cowboys NFC title game would be played against an NFC East rival.

When: Sunday, Jan.29, 2:00 p.m. CT Where: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, Pa., or AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX TV: Fox

STEP 3: Super Bowl

A win in the NFC Championship game would send the Cowboys to Super Bow LVII with the chance to win their first Super Bowl in almost 30 years.

When: Sunday, Feb.12, 5:30 p.m. CT Where: State Farm Stadium, Glendale, Ariz. TV: Fox
