Dallas Cowboys rookie defensive end Sam Williams, who was involved in a vehicle crash in Plano on Thursday afternoon, will miss Saturday’s game against Philadelphia.

Williams was driving a black Corvette near State Highway 121 and Preston Road when he was hit by another vehicle that didn’t yield to oncoming traffic.

Williams and the other driver were taken to a hospital as a precaution, police said.

The Cowboys announced on Friday that Williams will miss Saturday’s game against the Eagles because of a concussion and a neck strain.

Williams, a second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, has been huge part of the Cowboys defensive line rotation all season.

He currently has 13 tackles, three sacks and a forced fumble on the year.

They also announced that they were activating cornerback Mackensie Alexander and center Brock Hoffman from the practice squad to the active roster for Saturday’s game.
