Dak Prescott has returned to the field for the Dallas Cowboys.

And some former quarterbacks are expecting a big game from Prescott against the Detroit Lions today.

On CBS’ The NFL Today pregame show, two former quarterbacks-turned-analysts predicted big things for Prescott, who is returning to the field today after missing five games with a fractured thumb.

Former quarterback Boomer Esiason: “He generates a lot of points; kind of unique that he is coming back today against the Detroit Lions defense who is the worst in the league. So let’s face it, there’s not a lot of pass rush. They give up big plays. I expect him to have a huge, huge game.”

Former quarterback Phil Simms agreed: “What is he going to do for the football team? If they play the same way, which I believe, he is going to give a little spice to it because he’s going to have some runs that Cooper Rush couldn’t make and he’s going to make some throws that Cooper Rush couldn’t make either.”
